Sorry all, I just realized that there is a typo in the script for this episode.  The conversion for Bunkyuu 4 should be 1864 not 65.   No v2 planned, but will be more careful next time.  

And to those who are accusing us of translating this series from Chinese to English,　Quit tooting your own horns over the web and grow up!

    Regarding the translation, aside from some minor liberties taken here and there, it was good. 9/10.
    No grammar or spelling mistakes either. Good job on the OP/ED songs! I couldn’t make out the lyrics until I saw the subs!

    About the video quality, I would prefer if you guys released in .MKV, really. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks so much for subbing this show. Now and then the translation felt a little loose, but overall it was very good and the english wording was well done.

    My main issue was the video for this. It looked like an upscale, but having watched the release by Aleph Naught (awful subs btw) I know there’s true HD available for this show, is there any chance you’ll switch video sources for the next episode and maybe do a v2 for this?

    One thing that bothered me though was that you refered to Yukimura Chizuru as “he”, she is obviously a girl, and I could at least not spot a single scene where they would’ve called her specifically a boy.

    @Meston, We referred to her as a he because throughout the first half of the episode she is dressed as a boy and everyone is assuming and treating her as such. It is not until she reveals to the shinsengumi that she is indeed a girl that she starts being referred to as such. I understand that it is kind of confusing, the japanese language doesnt really use pronouns that specifically say girl or boy, it is just implied.

    @Thomas, the first raws available were not the best. Rather than wait a few days for a .ts or a better source, decided to work with the best available. Future releases will use better sources and should be in .mkv for higher quality. Thanks for your support.

    Keep it in mp4 ! The “other” fansub groups are already offering MKV and AVI. Aoi is unique so they should stick to MP4..which is still a HIDEF format.

    side note: the version uploaded to animefreak..SOUND/AUDIO STOPS at 16:00.

    Hi! Like my name states, it’s my first time watching your subs and I think your translation for this show rocks. The only problem I have with this is the fact that this episode was an upscale into a pseudo-HD quality. I know someone brought this up earlier in a comment but is there any possibility you’ll just pick up the later airing for this show for higher quality? Please? Well, that’s all I needed to say. Thanks very much for your hard efforts and keep at it!
